Beautiful building in a great part of town. Easily walkable to the Human Rights Museum or Canada Life Place. Restaurants were also very good, friendly staff, rooms are large and comfortable. Hotel decor is classic, beautiful art deco and very impressive.
We were at The Fort Gary Hotel for one night for our tenth wedding anniversary. The staff, the food and room were amazing! We got the romance package and we weren't disappointed. We will definitely be coming back!
The customer service at this hotel was not great. One day I asked for ice and it was not a problem and was sent up, second day I asked for it and they said they didn't do that and told me to go to a different floor. One morning I asked for Breakfast place suggestions and was handed a piece of paper. I'm sorry but I don't live here and I want to hear from locals what they recommend (2 of the suggestions on the piece of paper were the actual hotel I was staying at). The room was also very dirty. The floor was super dirty and I needed to wear socks the entire time. I also dropped something on the floor and went down to get it and saw all the dirt and crumbs under the bed and nightstands. The rooms are also incredibly dated and not functional. The bathroom lighting was like a hospital. The elevators also had lineups and the buttons on my floor were not working properly. No one was there to help me with my bags when I arrived. I had just been on a plane for 9 hours with delays and I asked the concierge for a glass of water as I checked in and he suggested I go to the gym or find a vending machine. You could not pay me to stay at this hotel again. I paid $450 for 2 nights, and felt like I was staying in a motel. Absolutely unacceptable.
Best place to spend night, with your friends, and families. I was here last week and their service was top-notch. Highly recommended! The atmosphere was vibrant, and there were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Whether you prefer relaxing by the fire pit or enjoying live music, this spot truly has something for everyone.
My family loved staying here. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and even satisfied a unique request when my little one needed a carrot for a snowman. Fran is the best server in the Oval Room! We took advantage of the swimming pool access and loved how walkable it was to the Jets games. We would definitely stay again!
