We discovered this hotel 2 years ago and come back when we’re in the area. The hotel staff is most agreeable and always treats us with courtesy. We enjoy the spa facilities and the Braisiere restaurant is fantastic. We also recommend to try their house developed cocktails like the pink elephant or the winter cosmo. Overall, the hotel has a romantic timeless feel to it that welcomes you as soon as you enter the lobby.
Outstanding Stay at the Fort Garry Hotel !! The Girls and I had a Wonderful Experience at the Fort Garry Hotel. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The customer service was exceptional — every staff member I interacted with was Warm, Professional, and Genuinely Helpful. Valet Parking was Easy and Convenient, which made the whole stay even more stress-free. The Hotel itself is stunning, with a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. I highly recommend the Fort Garry Hotel to anyone in or visiting Winnipeg — a truly top-notch experience from Start to Finish.
Amazing room, hotel, service and location. We stayed here for a weekend while visiting Winnipeg to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We unfortunately didn’t have time to go to the spa but it was definitely a reason for which I booked this hotel in case we had time. Important to note, the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in Winnipeg. Price was also very good!
I have stayed here quite a few times over the years. I love a historic hotel. Plus, the bed linens are like falling onto a cloud. I stayed in bed an extra hour because it was so comfy. However, I am not a fan of the 4 pm check-in. The desk clerk suggested we might be able to chek in early, which is why I wa enjoying this delicious Empress gin and tonic. Unfortunately, we waited an hour and the could not get us into our room. Fair. It's a 4 pm checkin, but we were going to a 4pm matinee, and it would have been nice to check in before going to the theater. Other than that, terrific service in the bar and at breakfast. Parking is tight, but it's convenient if you can find a space. We will be back, but heed my advice and only book on their official site. I wasn't paying attention when I clicked and paid too much for the room. Caveat emptor, right?
The staff and accommodations were just amazing. The Ten Spa was outstanding. I had the full Hamam and the experience was out of this world. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you have never had it done. The Italian restaurant had incredible food and service. It was a great stay. The hotel is in a great location near the Forks Market, Via train station, downtown area and the Human Rights Museum.
